Keep in mind, this was just a quick example.

Here it is upside, the material was no good for velcro, much like your headliner seems to be. So it wasn't hanging from velcro only pins/needles.

Disregard the gaps, the patch was run thru a ringer and beaten, plus there was flex in material..
Also I wasn't gonna try it on my headliner bc it might leave little holes in mine, but don't worry it wouldn't with yours..

Here's after, I pulled the glue out, you can see none left, but only on pins/needles.

Glad this thread got a kick in the butt. I needed a bit of motivation to get started on some new and old projects.

Not sure what to try next...I'm thinking of playing with silnylon or cuben fiber for a personal 1.5 man tarp shelter. Or maybe a cuben fiber ultralight drypack. I just have way too much other stuff going on to start something new.

What packs did you make for gifts? Like the one you made for your gym stuff?

O, no haha. The pull bags that were posted earlier. We made two per person and that was more than enough work for "simple" gifts. I really want to try out a day pack but I need to get this tipi started. The size of the project is a bit overwhelming though.

Yeah it's large, but it shouldn't be terribly intricate should it, just a lot of seams? I probably asked previously but i'm too lazy to look, does it have a zipper closure? What sort of seam were you going to use to join the panels? I went for this sort of flat felled seam on my tarp shelter, seemed to hold up really well to the high tension and it hides the raw edges.

Do any of you know where to get some good patterns...? Anything like, hiking/backing/gun gear related. Or anything cool for that matter..

    Outside of that type stuff?/\
I've been thinking of doing some custom denim jeans or overalls..

Standby, I have a bookmark somewhere. It was a site where you could put in your measurements and it would actually make a custom fitted pattern for you for jeans/pants.

I have a full size shovel and kind of recognized it as one but thought maybe it was some European new fangled sewing item for some reason. Appeared to have a sharpened edge on one side. :anonymous:
