    IMG_2844.jpg Hello Tacoma world!
I'm a so-cal resident and the new proud owner of a 2000 white Tacoma 2WD TRD! (150k miles)

    Bought it for $1.00!!!
    Hehe gift from dad!

Anyways this is my first post and can't wait to dive into the taco world.

    Things to know..
I'm looking to create a road trip camper truck.
Already bought a cap although it's an off fit, it's close enough for now.
    IMG_2855.jpg
I'm looking to get a sub to match the aftermarket door speakers (entry level) and maintain extra cab space for my dog.
    IMG_3039.jpg
Also I need to swap shocks and don't know anything about anything!

    Thanks for the help!

Will work. Might give a lift less than an inch since yours are blown.

Negative. Those are OEM Toyota/Bilsteins that came stock on TRD models.

The adjustable ones you're thinking of are Bilstein 5100s.

Also before you buy, you might wanna contact Bilstein and see if they'll replace the blown shock. Bilstein has lifetime warranties. Not sure if it's applicable with the OEM Toyota/Bilstein shocks that come on our trucks though.

Yeah, both sides are on hinges to flip up. Usually both dogs are back there and my wife can't lay all the way back- but enough to snooze during trips. But if the small dog is on her lap, big dog in back, she can swing the passenger side shelf up to lean all the way back. Big gain was getting all of my tools inside the cab with such a high platform. Nice to gain storage in the cab when we've got such limited space out back. Sub would be fine too- just a lot of vibrations for your dog I'd imagine.

Nice build thanks for sharing! Gives me ideas for my attempt. And yeah my dog is not a fan of loud music the sub is for out of car playing or no dog around bumping.

No worries- all the best! Only reason I said that about the sub is, I replaced my speakers for nice ones- but can never turn it up very loud because my dog is in there with me haha.
