How many miles? I'd want $15K for MY truck if someone talked me into selling it!

To me the offer is only aggressive if said buyer has a gun OR the $ offer is something I can't refuse.

To be fair...I have my first gen for sale for 6000 and I had a guy say kbb says it's only worth 4700. I said Kelly doesn't have 12,000 in receipts for frame replacement.:)

In 2015, less than $10K for a STOCK 2010 regular cab 2WD 2.7L auto with barely over 50K original miles and $1,500 in damage is insulting... Mine had custom rims and a killer Pioneer stereo! Blue Book on my truck at the time WITHOUT the damage was over $13K!

Mine has a Sony touch-screen head unit ($280), Pioneer speakers and related hardware ($140), a backup camera and related hardware ($125), intermittent wipers ($140), and rims ($500+).

I know... I know... but truck was still worth $13K stock and undamaged (about $12K with damage), and my ex-boss offered me like $8K or $9K. I don't think he knew the difference between a Tacoma and "other trucks"...

All that hard work is for you and the next owner...the price of your truck is based off the vin number and mileage.

I understand that I can't include stereos and other mods now...

An offer of less than $10K in 2015 for a 2010 regular cab 2.7L auto 2WD with less than 50K original miles and just $1,500 in minor damage is downright insulting in my opinion... On top of that despite the damage, the A/C was ICE COLD and everything worked...

You sell outright...my dealer asked if I wanted to trade my first gen in...I said no...you will never give me what it's actually worth. He said you would be correct. Now I just have to circumnavigate the assholes that come and look at it.:)

    Yeah, that was outright...

On the other hand, I wouldn't complain if I found somebody dumb enough to sell a Tacoma for less than what it's worth...

What they don't know won't hurt 'em!

Back in the early 1990s, my uncle (the one from Florida) bought a loaded 1987 Ford Mustang GT 5.0/5-speed convertible for a song at an impound auction. The car was in good condition, but they had no keys to it and thus had no way of starting or driving it. They were also convinced that the rear axle was frozen. My uncle was a mechanic, and he knew that in fact the rear end was not frozen but didn't divulge this. Like I said, he bought what was at the time a 3-5 year old Fox-body Mustang GT convertible for next to nothing... He got it home, had a key made, fired it up, and there wasn't a thing wrong with it. The rear end was fine, the engine ran great, the transmission shifted great, the A/C blew cold, and everything worked. He drove it daily until 1997 when he started a handyman business and had to sell it because it wasn't practical. He leased a 1997 Ford Explorer as it's replacement...

My insurance company has a policy where if the vehicle is over 2 years old they save money wherever possible by not using OEM parts. My grill and my front bumper are non-OEM now.

I didn't complain because the accident was kinda my fault and my rates didn't go up that much...
