Hello team! Newbie with a question.

I believe I have DTL's because my headlights lights are on even with the lights turned off.

Is there a way to have my headlights not running? I just switched to [headlight] HID's and do not want the lights on the whole time? Thanks in advance for your time and help.

There are many links just Google how to disable 2004 Toyota Tacoma daytime running lights period here's one link . There's a certain wire you have to cut underneath the steering wheel column . I did the exact same thing with mine and cut the wire.

Really don't want to cut any cords. I'd rather just pull out a wire under driver console. I have a TSB PDF for a 2000, does it share the same wiring as a 2002? Also running HID's with ballast, and don't want to effect them or any other light/electrical component in truck.

@muddog67 -So I should pull the white green cable/fuse (wire #1)?

@mechanicjon - do you have a picture of the outside fuse/relay box? And is this the box under the steering wheel? Finally, this is for a 2004, and not my 2002. Do they share the same set up? Thanks.

Okay kinda confused, lol. is there a wire I'm supposed to pull out from under driver side steering wheel, or a fuse I should pull out under the hood?

Also what fuse under the hood? @Keep on Truckin'

Pics appreciated, can't access my truck right now.

I don't have DTL's but the Black fuse box is located behind the battery & the cover is labeled for each fuse & Relay location within the fuse box.

@mechanicjon - okay pulled the 7.5 Amp fuse label DRL on top of fuse box, under the hood. Lights still running. You sure it's just the one fuse and nothing else?
