@tacomatrd22 I don't burn enough for it to be measurable between oil changes. Just enough escapes around the distributor deal to keep it looking dirty but that's the only leak I have.

Rob....I had the same thing...and come to find out the pump was good but the PS fluid canister was clogged of years of crap...I had to open it up and green scour pad the inside till it was nice and shiny put it back together and was good to go.....and of course this was after I changed the pump and still had the same problems.
At least open up your canister look at the fluid in there and see what condition its in...

I very recently did my rack, flushed fluid and all which is why Im jumping to conclusions. I did take a look in the reserve as soon as I heard the pump whine. Fluid is clean and levels are fine. Not sure how else to troubleshoot it'd be nice if it was something as simple at a gunked up pump

Depends on how old these condoms are they might not give up so easy. After 18 years or so my green condoms were practically glued to the bulb. Couldn't take them out without braking them apart or more like scaping them off the glass.

Drained and refilled the rear diff and transfer case yesterday. Transfer looked pretty clean. The rear diff looked like diarrhea sorta.
Front diff is next but didn't have time to drop the skid plates yesterday afternoon.

What viscosity do others run in the diffs? I had 75-90 synth blend on hand.

Well I finally caught a fairly warm day. Did the tranny (mt90), the transfer case, and the back rear (75-90 syn). Mother nature beat me to the front one. I believe I have to drop the skid plates off to do the front correct? This is my first time doing any of this on a vehicle, I don't normally keep them long enough to change fluids like this, but I think between this forum and the way I seem to enjoy this truck, it will be here till it dies. From what I am hearing it will be around along time.

Got an update on body work/paint job.
They got all the dents and dings and scratches out and are coming along with repainting it.

Looking for anybody running OME suspension... I've got 881's and nitro chargers on order. Wandering what the the ride quality is like? I've got 5100's on third notch with stock coils now so I'm hoping it's a lot better. ARB bumper up front

    75/90 is fine.

    yes drop the skid.

make sure you get the right size allen key for the drain plug and try very hard no to strip it. Clean it out very well before torquing. actually its a big ass torx head..can't remember the size though..
