What do you need another rear axle for anyway?

Turning your truck into a 6x6? It's definitely long enough even without all that stuff hanging off the back.

Do the Tundra/T100 ones not neck down like the Tacomas ones? I'll be honest I didn't check, I've just walked away from any I've found that had ABS. I figured they were different since I was looking at our Tundra, which doesn't have ABS, and doesn't appear to have a block off plate like the Tacomas.

    Our Tundra:

I've been reading so many rule books they're starting to blend together haha. I think it was BITD, I'll have to relook. The classes I'm looking at are slightly above stock classes so I think going up another class is when you start getting into the wider choices of engines. I just remember catching that detail about open diffs and WTFing at it. We don't mind swapping an axle out for racing, not like I'm going to be DDing this.

Still doing a lot of reading obviously lol.

    Found it!

"DIFFERENTIAL Front differential must remain original stock as delivered by the manufacturer, with the exception of gear ratios. Materials may be added for strengthening purposes only. Front differentials, including traction beam type, may be reinforced. Rear axle assembly must use standard automotive style. Housings are open. Gear ratios, carriers, axles and floating hubs are optional. No gear re-ducted rear ends allowed. Only a single ring and pinion rear end is allowed. Axles are limited to a maximum of an industry standard 40 spline 1.750” diameter axle. Knock-off hubs are not permitted."

Unless I'm misunderstanding what they're talking about.

I used to register my vehicles in georgia. mainly because no front plate and no emmissions or inspections of any kind. but its about $170 dollars cheaper per vehicle to do it here in Colorado because military. also down here in the Springs, I dont have to do emmissions.

    Hi everyone,

Bought my first Tacoma a few weeks ago: 2015 DCSB TRD Sport. I've been in Colorado for years, no idea why I didn't buy a truck sooner. Looking forward to trying to protect it from hail and folks texting and driving here in SE Aurora. Looking forward to bullshitting with you all.
