Spent most of yesterday rearranging two rooms...to get more room, in order to start a new On30 layout. Really needed to toss a bunch of shit anyway. Spring cleaning ftw.
Need to pick up a fresh 4x8 sheet of marine grade plywood and some 1x4's for a skirt.
And that will be next winter's project.

Does anybody need some old Coleman coolers? I have two, in good shape, free to a good home.
And 3x7x2.5 Teton foam camp mattress, Jake could prolly use this in the back of his truck to protect his patch collection and keep the seats clean. Free.

OPEN meaning do whatever the fuck you want when it comes to the housing. IE FAB'd Currie 9" housing, 70's stock F100 9" housing, Stock tacoma axle, Tundra axle with spikes welded to it, Diamond housing with a LC9.5, a Ruff stuff housing with a tundra 10.5. Just can't run Volvo 303 axles, Unimog axles, Axletech military axles portals that have gear reduction at the hubs.

FYI when a desert racing rule book says it open, that means there are no restrictions pertaining to the context of the paragraph.

BITD 7100 is where you want to be, but you will need more front ground clearance and travel to be competitive with the other leaf springers. A bolt on 12" 4x4 TC kit isn't ideal to run at a bladed Primm, Parker, or even a relatively smooth VtoR race.

Tundra rear: AFAIK they are all the same tubing size all the way to the flange regardless of ABS. If you're going to go racing build a 9" with a Fab'd housing and Full Floater. You will save money and headache in the future.

    http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/WC935SP.html

And go spool and 35 spline, cheaper and stronger than detroit or arb.

I race with a guy who has a 40 spline Schreiner in his 650 HP bronco, never an issue after 3K+ race and testing miles. New pump gas motor runs pretty well, IG Link Turn up the Volume!!!!

    http://www.9inchfloater.com/CompleteRrEnd/CmplteRrEnd_35_40.htm

If staying a play truck, build the tundra axle especially if you have a geared 8.4" to swap into it.

The local option for housings. http://www.diamondaxle.com/rear_nonsteering.htm I have one; 8" E locker, D44 FF with disc's and cromoly shafts way better than any gussetted stock housing.

Just my 2 cents as someone who's been desert racing, prerunning, and prepping trucks the last 10+ years.

I only notice it when I really mash the brake pedal, and my windows are down, and my stereo is turned down because my wife is yelling something in my ear...

Or a Craftsman for about half the money:

    Both rated to 600v

Anyone have experience with decent cameras for adding to the front and sides?

Front really only needed right now, but might as well get sides since I'll have the capability.

I was reading almost every single person who said they were noisy were the people who did not bed them in right. I guess we'll find out. If they're awful I could always switch to green.

I probably didn't bed them in properly, but they only squeak if I'm really stepping hard on the brake pedal.

Side shooting or on the side- facing the front?

Just saw a build the other day where guy put a back-up camera in the grill for non-spotted wheeling fun.

Side for... Might as well have it side spotting.

Front is the main want for right now. I've seen some ones that go in the grill, but my grill will be gone shortly.

But they seem hit or miss so i was hoping to see actual good ones.
