I think the looks or style is what stands out the most for me. It's my first Tacoma and won't be the last.

I drive to work, jump in a foo-foo sissy '15 Kenworth and haul new Harleys right off of the assembly line. I can't wait to get back to the yard and see my Taco sitting there. I dig the hell out of it.

If you ever have one of those harleys fall off the truck, give me about an 8 hour heads up first please. Love my truck, but miss riding a bike.

Yeah I love the new taco too. Very fun to drive for a truck as others have mentioned, and IMO a great blend of price, capability, reliability, and practicality. If you asked me, I would say it comes pretty close to the perfect vehicle. Its all about what you want to get out of it!

Yep, I didn't say I would drive that, but that would make a dam good payment towards either fixing the one I have that got wrecked and needed to be rebuilt before that, or on a nice new Kawasaki Vulcan.

The wife and I decided that 2 was the most we could have, keeps the man to man coverage, once you hit 3, then you have to work on the zone defense.

I LOVE my truck. Just a few gripes, some minor.
    1. Cabin noise and low power- yes, this is subjective but these two are tied for my biggest complaint.
    2. Seat is too high. Really surprising that Toyota didn't release the Tacoma with a height adjustable seat. As it sits right now, you have to be a certain height for your position to be optimized. Sell it with an adjustable seat and multiple people can adjust it to their optimal height. I have to duck below the rearview mirror to see past it, kind of annoying.
    3. Small cup holders... Not a huge deal, I've adapted.
Other than the whistling front end and goofy transmission, my truck had been rock solid, love it!

When I saw it, I had to have it. Always wanted one. I am surprised that Toyota would make a truck with these shift points, have to use the sport shift or a heavy foot. I went on this forum the next day and started picking the truck apart, but this forum has taught me alot. You won't get this info. from your dealer. I like the truck cause it's new, but now I have nothing to do, waiting on a pro-grill.

For me the Tacoma is a perfect balance of a fun truck and a daily driver.
Clearance and toughness are at the top of the list of advantages. I live in the SF Bay Area and many roads look like they're in a 3rd world country. A drive of any length and I'm bound to bottom out my minivan, not to mention what the potholes do to the minivan's suspension (I won't even mention my wife's Mini Cooper).
The reliability and resale value are a plus. I hope to have this one for the rest of my life.
Once it's paid off I plan to do some off road mods. For now I take it easy on the trails.

Pop-n-lock tailgate. New radio knobs. Rear step.
I really like the size (fits my garage), the features (blind-spot, rear assist, sunroof, dual-zone climate, etc.), the ground-clearance/off-road capability, the utility, the looks, and the high resale value.
