Well I was able to get you pics.

Yes I know it is super rusty and ugly....the aluminum one I originally built had to much flex and the lights bounced while driving. I built it out of steel but saved the time of painting to make sure it worked, and haven't gotten back to it....

I cut off some section of the angle iron to make the brackets. The mounting holes and hardware is all the stock bolts for the radiator support.

Under the hood release is a 5th bolt I used. I had to go and cut a large notch to allow the cross bar to allow it to slide up on the hood latch, then a bolt under the latch.

With the size of your lights you will.most likely need to relocate your transmission cooler and horns. In this pic you cam see how 1 side of the cooler has been lowered.
    20170309_122420.jpg
You can just see the horns relocation spot in this pic.

    I laughed.

Redo your grill for light pass-through, of course. Gotta move the horns. And I had to move my trans cooler about an inch back.

What type of lights work best if you have a "deep dish" mesh grill?

    Asking for a friend. :spy:

    Ah, got it. Thank you.

I think I'd have to do another grill with smaller letters or it would be kind of a waste. Don't want light bars so that option is out.

The bracket for mounting the things seems like the easiest part! If you can't manage that then doing the wiring is going to probably be sketchy as hell.

I'd be worried about air flow restrictions to the radiator and trans cooler. May not be a big concern in MN, but certainly a concern in the southern half.

Hey thanks for taking the time to do that. Apart from the rust it looks really good and sturdy. I'm probably going to something very similar this weekend. My lights just showed up today. Don't you just love it when you get home from work and there's a package waiting?

I plan on removing the mount, sanding the rust off and painting this summer.
I almost did those lights. Really liked the blacked out style.

I used bamf mount with 20" bar. Bright af even behind and honestly not sure if there would be a difference if it wasn't. Looks slick behind there I think
