I'm hoping with 255/85-16 tires on factory first gen wheels (4.5 bs), these UCAs and a good alignment, I won't have any rubbing issues. :fingerscrossed:

Don't let that popcorn go cold.
@BornAgain Will be a while before mine to go in. Temps(weather) and time are not in my favor right now. :(

If my post gets deleted I understand. No problem. Regardless I will be getting the JBA uca's. First I have to figure if I want to spend $500 on the Hewitt fix as I have a '12 with near 100,000 and no CEL. This is a no brainer but seems like Toyota is not going to step up to the plate and do what is right so looks like I'll have to bypass the whole secondary injector system. I hope it works because it looks like Large got the bad end of the deal. Read his thread. I'm new to Toyota buying the Tacoma used and coming from a 2 door jk on 35s. Thank you everyone.

I wouldn't bypass anything if there's no signs of failure.

Did you have JBA stuff on your JK?

On the jk, no jba. Didn't even know about him. SA is so simple in comparison to IFS. They both have their advantages.
As far as the bypass goes I was under the impression Hewitt would not work after failure.
My taco has: Dakars(Oz posts convinced me) with 3* shims, 5125 rear(bushings had to be trimmed), 5100 and ome 2887 front, wheelers bump stops, rolling on 285/75 16 km2.
This site has educated me greatly. I was torn between tc and JBA uca's but I think JBA would be more practical for my needs.

TC would be a stronger arm and the stainless 1" ball would last the longest out of the UCA's uniballs available on the market. However for anyone doing moderate offroading and without a need for a uniball setup the light version of the JBAs are tempting. I almost went JBA for that exact reason. I ended up with used AP UCAs. Plus at the time JBA had just bent a few members shock towers due to a lack of testing which scared off a few buyers including myself.

Yeah that is nice. Uniballs you need to pull the whole thing out and press them in. That being said there are a few more failure points on the JBA arms because of the ability to remove the the balljoint. Too bad this is basically a unique setup as far as number sold is concerned. I mean the SPC arms were great until a few thousand hit the market. Maybe it's the skeptic in me but I sometimes wonder if there aren't a few flaws that will show up over time on a small percentage of these arms.

I swear we've had this conversation before lol.

I will still have JBA's. As long as they're not red. :)

TC definitely has the "it" factor. I bought their bed reinforcement brackets and got their little catalogue of long travel dreams!

It's well earned. No matter where you travel TC = Quality I find. Even dealers that don't work with them have nothing but good things to say.

Yeah. I'm lucky and my Tacoma is basically becoming a toy over time so I don't drive it much in winter. Definitely helping me to save my uniballs.

LOL. I wish man. I never complained about the DVDs. Sure I made a few jokes about using them as target practice in place of clay pigeons but that wasn't to offend anyone. Who cares what's in the box as long as the stuff you ordered is and happens to be in good shape. It was the other guy who wasn't happy some advertising was in the box.

Considering the current price on aftermarket lca would it be better to rebuild or replace at that fork in the road?
JBA, make us a set. Blackout will be the guinea panda.
