If it's there in yours then it must be a "normal thing," and I've even felt it on the interstate letting off then coming back onto the gas.

Of course, if my U-joints go out at 40k, I'm not going to be pleased.

just slow down your shifting. drive and shift at truck pace, not car pace. and maybe one day we'll get a tune to fix this stuff.

Anyone pull the trigger on the URD short throw yet? Some days I feel like I'm leaning over to throw it into 5th gear

pull down the chromed clip and give it a quarter turn... no force or tools required.

Yea third is notoriously notchy for me as well usually most prevalent after hanging out in second for an extended period of time. I also very occasionally get the grind into third as well, at the very end of the throw for like just a blip, its hard to explain obviously. 4,5 and 6 are butter. Now that I think about it 2nd has become a hair more notchy since ive had the truck as well.

yeah there's a few reviews of it and of the install around here if you look around. I'll probably add that myself at some point soon. install is a bit of a PITA, 44% shorter shifts and more solid, and a bit tough getting into R... that's the review vibe as I remember it.

Yes this is my technique as well, an ever so slight overlap between gas and clutch keeps things quick with no rev hang

This removes the chrome piece from the boot? Or are you explaining how to get the boot off of the shift knob, because I'm aware on how to do that

oops sorry, i didn't read closely.

there's another thread about replacing the leather boot trim itself, maybe ask @Kennedyusmc as i think he has dealt with this.

does it get smoother over time? im at 150 miles and noticed that 2-3 deal as well. i wonder if putting in a different fluid would help.

I'm at 1700 and I've not noticed a difference. I don't think fluid would change anything... it's not an automatic after all. I do wonder if it's something as simple as the geometry of the linkage.

still uses MTF or some sort of fluid though. Honda S2000s and other cars that get some grinding sometimes has improvements using other fluid types. something to do with viscosity but to me when i'm depressing the clutch and shifting to any gear (up or downshift) it feels like it's still in gear or not totally disengaged.

How about a manual in a SCLB??

Wonder if this will ever happen?

The SB is the only thing keeping me from being 100% sure I want the manual, if they offered it in the LB the decision would have already been made.

    You hear me Toyota??
