Guess I missed some other posts, but your #5 is what I know as #4.

1 all guns are always loaded.
2 never point weapon at anything you're not willing to destroy
3 never put your finger on the trigger until your sights are on the target
4 be certain of your target and what's behind it.

    Right from Col. Coopers range.

If I had my ccw id carry my 1911 or Id get a G21. The little sigs are nimble and quick but Im a crap shot with them. Plus 1911 is just my personal favorite.

i am having my Sig 2022 on my permit as well as a Shield. Summer/Winter carry. The lack of holster support for my Sig is whats leading me to buy the Shield.

Do you guys have any suggestions for cheaper gun safes? My brother has 2 handguns and 1 shotgun in his house, but they aren't locked in a safe. They do have the trigger locks and other safety measures, but I don't feel comfortable with my niece and neighborhood kids around.

Seeing as I ain't no quitter, I will have two spares for the rear once these arrive. Going to keep my seat at the familiar table. Just moving up to a more comfortable chair.

That's what I'm sayin, there's a lot more than 4 or 5 when it comes to firearm safety overall. The core that everyone learns or should learn are those 4, not sure where everyone is getting 5 from. Curious what they consider the first 4 to be.

You can get a Sentry at any Home Depot for a couple hundred on a budget, and they're nice for the price.

If the budget is even less.. a gun locker will keep them safe from hands but not from anything else.

    ...too much shit to list.
Look at Crossbreed. They make an IWB for the 2022. All my carry holsters are Crossbreed.

I've heard it's damn near impossible to get a CCW in Bay area? I might just go down to bakersfield and get it instead.. Haven't been able (legally) to carry mine since September when I moved from WA :(

Depends on the County. And all that would do is make it so you can carry only in Bakersfield. Just cause you can get a CCW in Bakersfield doesn't mean it'll be good in Concord.
