    How are the brake lines supposed to stretch enough to let the axles out?

    King ext travel coilovers, Icon tubular UCA's Rear-King "Tundra" 2.5's, Allpro Expos, TRD cat-back, Hurst/Core short shift kit, etc...
    You undo the brake line fasteners on the axle and it gives you just enough slack in the bends to pull the axles out. I did it like that, just be gentle and pull it out only enough so the 3rd member is released.

    @Rakso Hold some of the weight of the axles when you pull them out because the axle shafts will come loose and be resting against the axle seals.

    Kind of depends on how handy you are with the tools. Out takes me about an hour. Hour to clean all the crap off. Hour to wrestle it back in and button everything back up. I let it sit for a day to cure real well. And then refill. I do it over a weekend and drink beer.

    Isn't the mark made from the driveshaft to the pinion flange pointless? The new 3rd comes with new pinion flange doesn't it?

    Third member, not third gen. You don't need to mark the flange because you aren't removing a u-joint, so they stay in the same orientation. It isn't a bad practice, just unnecessary for this.

    I can swap a 3rd member out by myself in about an hour and a half without working a breakneck speeds, and provided I have all the tools and parts in hand when I start. Use a Lubelocker gasket for the diff and you won't need RTV.

    Ring broken in opposite sides, I wonder if it wasn't assembled right when re gearing a year ago. Waiting on ECGC to ship my new 3rd.
