Installed a 2" lift (ome 887 coils) and when I drove around the block I heard a grinding noise when over few bumps/hard turn and the vehicle stabability control light came on and won't go off. Saw one other thread on here saying it should be recalibrated. Anyone else with this issue and if the recalibration resolved it? Thanks

Throwing this to the top. I had to use a code scanner to "clear codes" on my truck even after doing the VSC reset procedure. It was weird because no codes showed up on my scanner, but it gave me the option to clear codes anyway.

Almost makes me rethink wanting a lift now.
I also wanted to go with the 2" with the 887's. I wonder what the grinding noise was?

The dealership or any decent alignment company (you need an alignment after lifting) can reset/recalibrate the VSC for a small fee or free.

I did the VSC reset procedure by myself a couple times last night. It's super easy. Just didn't clear until I did the above with my scanner. It was weird.

It was probably the ABS kicking in on one wheel because it was confused about the lift with no VCS reset. It's a non issue, just have your dealer reset the computer after your lift if you get the error message.

    Name it!
Yes, there are other threads, I've read them all the last week or so as I chased this GHOST. But the tech instructions you posted are easy read & understand, which allowed me to successfully Re calibrate & Reset my VSC, TRAC, ABS system on my truck. After installing the same lift kit, I have been fighting this issue for weeks! Every thread I read, used incorrect number system to find the 2 pins on OBD plug.
I followed the instructions you posted, and the GHOST is gone. My truck is actually safe to drive. It handles almost exactly like it did with OEM tires & lift. THANK YOU for the help!!!

    Me too.

I'd love to put a 2" lift on, but it would honestly be for looks.

Figure I'll stay stock and reliable...only use 4x4 on the beach anyhow.

Can you tell me what tools are needed I read that post wasn’t sure on some of the achromins used. I’m on a trip after a lift kit install some light off road and 200 miles later this same warning came on. Also wasn’t sure if you noticed if your terrain control was impacted by this problem mine will not work at tbis point.

I used a piece of 22ga wire and stripped the ends off to make a jumper wire. Worked great. No problems since either.

So the idea is to short those two connections 4 and 12?

Yes. Jump those 2 pins, you can use a paper clip also.

This sounds crazy lol I presume rest of those instructions must be followed with the ignition sequence on and touching 12 and 4 with paper clip 4 times within 8 seconds while car is on leveled serface with steering centered. What is the step two ? I don’t have obd2 just trying to find out if I can have this done while on the road and not make it worse.
