I like the 6in lift look with 35's without any side steps, but is it a pain in the ass to get in and out of the truck at that point?

That's sick!! That's my favorite color too! How much did you pay for all that? Correct me if I'm wrong, but was your lift kit built for a 2015 Tacoma??

Love your truck and those rims are sick. If I had the extra funds I would run the same setup. I got my truck for towing, hauling stuff in the bed and 4X4 for when it snows and maybe some camping with the family but if I want to do some serious off-roading out in nature I'll use a horse. hateraid :)

Here's a question for y'all with a 6" lift...do you still have vibrations or did a CB drop kit fix or reduce them? If so what should I use?

I recently lifted my 2wd taco to a 6.5" and now I've got constant vibrations under the floorboard (I knew it would happen). Here's how I did the kit.

I purchased the 4" Maxtrac spindles, extended brake lines for the front and the OME Dakar leaf pack for the rear and bilstein all around with the front set at 0. At that time I installed the CB drop bracket from Maxtrac and I only noticed the vibrations when traveling 60-70 mph(didn't bother me).

After getting new wheels and tires I decided to go up to a 6.5" like the Maxtrac kit. So I purchased 2.5" strut spacers for the front and 2" rear blocks with longer ubolts. So now I have 6-6.5" up front and about 5" at the rear. Now I feel the vibrations all the time going over 30mph. How can I reduce that? Do I need a larger CB spacer? Do I need to get shims for the rear axle?

Why mud terrain? Obviously you built it for road use which is perfectly fine, but the muds are pointless if you don't go Offroad. They are more expensive, ride worse on the road, louder, and wear faster

Did you install a driveshaft spacer at all? On prerunners the higher you lift the rear the further it pulls the driveshaft out of the transmission. The first pic shows how it should be and 2nd is probably how yours is.

I also put a pic of the driveshaft spacer installed which pushes the driveshaft to where it should be. You can get these from 4crawler.

When I did the cb drop I also used the beefed taco one which lowers it more to keep the angles more closer to spec which there is a pic of that as well.

Here are the links. I forgot you have a 2016 so since they are using a different transmission it might look a little different than the pics I attached above but the concept I mentioned on the prerunners is probably the same on the 16+ Tacomas. For the drive shaft spacer on your truck they might have also changed the flange style on the rear end a lil so you might have to measure the bolt pattern and I would recommend calling 4 crawler.

@BORNWILDGUY thanks brotha! I'll definitely take a look under the truck today and I'll post some pics showing what it looks like. I'll also give them a call tomorrow and seee what info they can give.

@BORNWILDGUY so I wanna say it's the same because I just looked under the truck and the drive shaft it being pulled out of the transmission. So I will have to get a spacer. Did the Driveshaft spacer and the Cb drop fix the vibrations for you? Or did you have to get shims as well?

I installed mine when I installed the lift but no I didn't have any vibes. Its not good to have the driveshaft pulling out of the tailshaft on the transmission and it will also lead to premature wear of the carrier bearing. Looks like you will need a 1.25 or 1.50 spacer from your picture.

Oh okay. I'll have to stop at the shop and maybe they can tell me exactly what size I need.
