Digging your tires SurfratTX...I could be wrong but they seem like a nice alternative to M/S tires...may I ask what they are? I am getting my FN wheels in a couple of weeks when the stock is replenished...still on the fence on what tires to get, if I'm getting new tires.....

    Thanks!
From a previous post by me:
I have the FN wheels from Dustin.
These are not on their website....so just call or send Dustin an email.
Tons of people on TW have bought from him.
Delivered to my door in Houston, TX, total cost including shipping for 4 wheels $769.
Nitto Terra Grapplers G2's, mounted on new FN wheels, Discount Tire total - $813.00
    These Nitto's have a 65,000 mile warranty!
I had a slow leak in on at 9,000 miles. The dude at Discount tires did a thread depth check, standard, and was like whoa, tires still had 100% tread.

I have stock coils, just put on the Bilsteins 5100's, 3rd generation.
Way better smooth ride! My intent was to level the truck...gave me 1" lift in front....perfect.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-3rd-gen-today.399305/page-2197#post-14207237

Love the Nitto's....for a few reasons over the KO2's...since I was looking at those too.
Mine are definitely quiet on highway, at least for a off-road tire. I keep them inflated at 45-48psi.
They also ride great as in smooth, especially going over bumps etc.
Not sure if it's the truck or the tires or the combo of both but the truck rides as smooth as my Honda Accord Crosstour, which is Honda's largest and smoothest riding Accord.
I have the 265/70R17 115T, "C" load rating which is 6ply. Most of my driving is highway, so the weight savings and less stiffness helps some with both mpg and road noise from everything I could read(I'm actually a engineer at NASA....not that that makes me a expert on tires though, ; )
You can get the Nitto's G2's with higher load ratings, 8 and 10 ply.
I have about 12,000 miles on them. I also had made a trip out to Big Bend National Park at Thanksgiving and did a weeks worth of driving on unimproved roads, mostly rock/gravel. I did have a slow leak a few weeks ago, a nail. The guy at Discount tire, where I bought them from, did the required tread measurement and he was like wow, the tire still had almost 100% of tread "life" on it. This was the front left tire.
Also if you buy at Discount tire, tell them you don't want the tire warranty they sell.....they always will counter with at least a half off the warranty offer(been doing that with them for years). I had one instance where I did not purchase at the store and the next day the manager called me and offered the half price warranty.
I also like 65,000 mile warranty(sort of unheard of for off-road tires), and the fact the total drive out cost was $813.28. Per tire was $150 without the other fees.
No doubt the KO 2's are prerrty awesome tires and if my driving was like at least 60% 4 wheeling then maybe I would get them.
But you will definetly trade out road noise on highway, stiffer which means a little rougher ride.
