It was due a check prior to flight and had been sitting. Motor runs were for oil check but it had been being getting other work so ground power was on.

In this case I used the APU for air without swapping over the electric.

Makes sense. Except our new deliveries we converted from steel to carbon so TRs already on board. Though the new 767s are coming with both.

    Fuel burn vs. cruise speed?

About 9GPH at 145 MPH true. It's a short body C model Ranger with the Lyc O-360

Nada... no speed mods at all. I really want that lopresti cowling with the powerflow for Mooney Rangers, but alas we're not putting much money into the plane (only worth about 40)... Besides if we want to go fast we take the Gen 5 SR22T, P210 or E90 Kingair :D lol

I don't think I've posted these in here yet. They are in the restroom at work, and people ask for a copy of the 16 reasons all the time.

 Hi everyone! Been a little while since I've logged in. Here is some recent activity.

I flew to Long Beach, CA and was fortunate enough to hang out with the B-17 crew all day.

...^^^... I would love to see ... either a Ford or Junker Ju 52 Tri-Motor in action today.

IIRC .... in about the 1980's, the Ju-52's were still flying in Europe on a daily basis for cargo ... they sound cool too ... :)

From what I have been told (when I lived in Germany) ... the Germans were the "Tri-Motor Experts" with their experiments going back to WW1.
