...If my truck was currently running, I'd be sorely tempted. How about next time, after I get her going again? Sounds perfect to me!

My dogs are ~65 lbs each and they eat a cup 3 times a day. The rule of thumb is a cup for every 20lbs. You're feeding your dog correctly.

I say if you can buy the food at Safeway, it's not very good food.

We used to feed banditt wellness. It was like $60 for a 20lb bag. We switched to Trader Joe's food when I saw their food was rated the same as wellness except it was 1/3 the price. Also, for some reason Leroy can't stomach wellness and gets all sick.

I've heard great things about blue buffalo too though.

I'm not switching their food any time soon. Banditt is 7, Leroy is 4, both healthy coat, lean and thriving. Thank you for the info though!

That's how I feel about Polly. She's lean, muscular, healthy af, and a beautiful coat when she stays out of mud. The Purina is working for her.

She get fed burgers and steak when we camp too, and who knows what else drunk people give her. I, however, give her no scraps of my food at home. Hasn't been to a vet in about 2 years now because hasn't needed to. Yes, I need to get her shots soon.

I was paying $60 for a 20lb a bag of wellness. I would never pay more than that.

I think people are just expecting perfection when perfection doesn't exist. All vehicles have quirks and they are getting very nitpicky on finding things that are wrong. I love my truck and have had very few issues. The only ones have been the bumper is misaligned and then the transmission was shifting hard. However, the shifting has somehow fixed itself and the bumper the guys at the dealership said they would repair under warranty. I just need to find time to take it back.

I'm kind of scared to change his to anything else. That was a fucking nitemare when we got him. He wouldn't shit in the house though. Would come on my side of the bed get right up to my face and bark once, scaring the fucking shit out of me. lol

I wouldn't change if he is doing well. The last time I researched dog food, that was towards the top of the list. if you need to change, check it out. My understanding is dogs don't do well on grain based food as they aren't cows, and can't digest that shit. Some are allergic as well.

I understand everyone treats their animals differently. I've known people that never got their dogs fixed and only got them their rabies vaccines once every 3 years, some not even that. Some have their dogs only outside, never inside.

To each their own, and by the law they're property. So you can do what you like.

For me, the dogs are my babies. So I only feed them the best food, yearly vaccinations and check ups, run them all the time, both are fixed, have nice beds, and go everywhere with us.

    To each their own.
