I'm with you. With tinted windows, it all flows together. Don't run it naked..keep your stuff wrapped.

I think it depends on the look you are going for tbh. I think that if you have dark tint on your windows, it looks good how it comes. However, I can see why people remove it if they don't have as dark of windows. Again, it goes with what you are looking for. I for one, will leave it how it is because I think it looks better with it with my dark windows

Anybody has a quicksand taco without the door pillars covered with black tape for comparison?

    Thanks.
Just to be noted, I don't make fun of OP, look at all my threads, I removed the tape on the OR and PRO. I guess it looks better without the tape.

Opinions, everyone has them. After owning 2 2nd gens I personally think it looks terrible without the black there. I'd never take it off my truck, but everyone's personal taste is just that. It's what makes all of our trucks unique

Toyota uses not one but three suppliers for those wheels, backorder is not the issue, also it's a stop sale which means recall and not backorder. Toyota would never cut a product just like that to catch up on demand, pipeline always trickles. Regardless I'll pull up the official reason tomorrow was too busy today.

What switch is that led light bar one? Does it fit without cutting?

There is a post here somewhere about an OP that had to sigh a waiver that will not invoke warranty in case the wheels fail...!!!???. Supply shortage is not a reason to waive warranty.

    Okay. I'm settling the debate.
Yanking the Black vinyl off this weekend.
Well see what looks better. I'll do before/after shots. APples to Apples

That comparison favors the naked look. The snug topper just works with the color match.
