Olympic National Park is probably the closest thing to heaven on earth, and while we have other amazing shit. We don't have the Olympics.

So it has to be a draw.

 

Never been to Tacoma.

Bremerton and Seattle and that's about that.

 

Your summers are probably gonna be cold for me. Lol.
I can't wait to experience winter though. Seems fun AF.

It was interesting. If textbooks weren't so expensive, I'd probably buy a few every other year for shits.

 

I know that to be 100% true. I took a 400-mile round trip, 8-hour, totally solo road trip up there on Saturday. Just because. It was perfect. Seriously fucking gorgeous. Drove up the east side of the mountains, hit up Hurricane Ridge, stopped at several beaches, drove through the forest, and then looped around back home.

 

It's small, simple, and in one of the best places to live on Guam.

 

You're not missing much in Tacoma.

 

I've never been to the Oly's.

Just a thing that sticks with me to experience and haven't yet.

 

I think I've heard that about every city in WA but Seattle.

 

Hahaha probably! We range from like 60 to 90 for summers. Eastern WA gets hotter in the summers... but they don't count as PNW so it doesn't even matter.

I do have so say that snow runs in the truck are awesome so winters are good for that.

 

It'll be worth it. Take more time than you think you'll need. They're huge and there's much to do.

Been reading about it for over a decade.

Had a friend up there who loved it there, and took his life there. So, one day I'd like to go there and walk around and sit in a few streams.

 

That's because all the best things are outside the city! Tacoma is centrally located, which makes it awesome, but Tacoma itself isn't great. The best part about it is that in 2 hours or less, I can be in the Olympics or the Cascades or on Mt Rainier, in the deserts of Eastern Washington, in Seattle for a taste of the big city, on the beach, on the Sound, in a billion different forests or sitting on a billion different lakes.

 

Sounds like California.

 

I'm sorry for your loss, but it really is a magical place. You'll love it in a big way. It's good for the soul, in a way I can't even begin to describe.
