Nearest trails are in Austin. Our beach apparently has skin eating bacteria in the water so you've got to be careful. I might be out at the beach this weekend in the Runner but I don't even have to use 4WD most of the time.

It's one of the thing that has kept me kayaking out there last summer. Probably head back to Canyon/Inks lake for paddling.

Yeah they've built the area here up with a whitewater course and you have to park blocks away to go to anything. Then you have to deal with a bunch of assholes after you get there. Really made all the nice things kind of shitty to go to. I took my son to the halloween event a couple years. Well I knew before I got there that he would have a winning costume that I made. No way anyone could compete with him. Personally I could care less if my costume won but I did it for him so he could. Judges picked a kid wrapped in fucking shit paper over everyone else. I mean fucking really? Pick the kid that made a Thomas the train out of cardboard boxes and used a little ingenuity before you pick someone that used fucking toilet paper all over themselves. It's just a bunch of bs anymore. Btw, he won every other contest he wanted to enter besides that one. Of course that event has gotten to the point of not going to anymore because it's just a bunch of freeloaders from the south end there to get all the free candy and shit they can haul around. Going through lines multiple times. People disgust me.

 

Dylan is interested in kayaking but I just can't get behind it so far. I have an irrational fear of the kayak tipping over and I get eaten by an alligator or drown or something. It's ridiculous I know. I feel like I need to just go do it to get over it.

Inks lake is out in Austin area right? I kind of vaguely remember Nikki saying they went there.
