From personal experience, yes they can be converted to extended travel by shortening the spacer 4mm. Icon will rebuild anything you send them for the right price. The collars are roughly $75 per. Just cut them off if they are seized but they will tell you to replace the cylinders as well. A wire wheel will clean up the cylinder but the rust will come right back without clear coating since you are exposing steel to the elements again. Pitting also can be a factor but rarely does the shock spend that kind of time bottomed out. Replace the coils with 700# coils and use a different part of the cylinder body with a fresh aluminum collar and plenty of anti-seize. The spira locks are pricey as well but probably are salvageable. When you adjust the ride height of a coilover with an aluminum collar, remove tension (all or most) from the collar by compressing the coil prior to adjustment and yes, no air hammers. I use a punch fitted with a couple wrap of electrical tape/100mph tape. GLWS, but if you want them to look new or newish then self service with kit and fresh oil, assuming you have the proper spanner to disassemble is about $100. Powdercoat the current coils, $60-80. New collars, $150 plus shipping. Recharge nitrogen at your local polaris dealer that use the same needle injection style, $25. Last thing, when/if you degrease, be careful of how long the aluminum sits in simple green or purple power. Depending on the concentration, it will completely pit and corrode them. Free bump.

If you loosen the collar too much you can jump threads and end up cross threading it when you try to turn it. Should have compressed the springs before trying to turn.

There is some where the shaft connects to the lower mounting point. Though that part of the shaft never enters the shock body. I'll post up some close up pics when I get home!

@Anthony250 <=== That's your guy. You can purchase the parts directly from Icon and he can install it all for you. That's what I did and got all my Icon stuff rebuilt by him.
