i have an 04 tacoma sr5 4x4 with the 16x7 6 lug styled steel wheels and 265/70/16 rubber.

looking at picking up a set up 2016 TRD alloys. appears to be a direct bolt up. my questions are:

    1. will the extra inch of wheel width interfere at all with anything?
    2. will the extra inch of wheel width stretch my tires too much?
    3. will i need new lugs?

the link the the wheels is http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-16-TRD-OF...ash=item3aaf57aa5e:g:PD4AAOSwLVZVxMWo&vxp=mtr

    1. Nope. I do want to mention, the wheel has slightly higher back spacing that OE, so the wheels will stick in about .25" more than stock.
    2. Nope. That size tire will fit just fine. You can always check the manufacturers site and see "approved rim width range"
    3. Nope. They use the same seat shape as stock.

Note that these are 'TRD Style' and state that they are aftermarket in the description. Fleabay sellers do a good job of implying items are OEM, due to demand, when they aren't. Just in case you were under the impression you were buying an actual Toyota TRD product.

*Edited to better describe deceptive selling techniques of some on eBay. The site itself is not bad if you educate yourself.

Now that you mention it, the pictures do show a flat seating surface like factory. OP some aftermarket variations use cone seat which will require new lug nuts, if the wheels they sell you are different from the picture new lug nuts may be required.

sorry i was delinquent in getting back to thank you for your posts. very much appreciate the info.

and ya, i almost messed up on the OEM "type" wheels. found a place on the west coast (a toyota dealership), that deals with authentic OEM stuff NIB. picked up a set from them.

    thanks again you guys.
