I have some OEM injectors you could play with if you decide to go this route. I think I have 6, but not sure.

Edit** Oh, you live in the great white north... Shipping may not be fun.

    OME and worth every penny.
THIS is how to clean an injector. I wouldn't say SeaFoam is worthless, it is a solvent but most of that smoke was just SeaFoam burning.

    In a word, no.

99+ should have the brown tops though, which are all the same. Grey top is different.

Ok called Upick they have two 4runners one with a motor fire (no good) and second with no motor .....

Thinking about just pulling the ones that are in it and cleaning them, if i am going to do this then i should have a look in the tank first and see how much crap is in it .

But first i am going to revisit the frigging sea foam

as a test on how well sea foam works i am going to pull the plug on #3 to see if the carbon has been removed :)

I wish it was summer so i could work outside

Does anyone have a injector that could measure the ends for me as i want to have the cleaner adapter made

    Thanks for looking

Any reason why you can't move the injectors around to see if the dead cylinder follows the injector?

The OP just needs do a leak down test and get it over with. There's just something about a dead hole where the level of denial is so strong people will shotgun a shitload of time and parts at it. Even I've done it.

Ok so far ....... the interweb has told me that i take ALL the plugs out, bring the test cylinder to TDC compression screw in a leak down tester and fill with air PSI (unknown yet). If you hear air from adjacent spark plug hole head gasket or cracked head, air in exhaust exhaust valve, air in intake intake valve, air in oil cap or dipstick rings ..... This is just interweb searching and if its found on the interweb its got to be true !!! just like the "use the vacuum line from brake booster"

Sooo i think i am going to order a CHEEP leak down tester

Highly useful tool. I have mine installed in the truck 24/7. The information supplied on a properly running engine from one of these tools will overwhelm you. Reading codes on a malfunctioning vehicle engine is icing on the cake.

I see no reason for you to go into debt buying an expensive unit, the extra abilities of a high end unit is not really needed for most skilled amateurs.

I like my Scan Gauge II. It will do 99% of the jobs you will come across.

The only thing bad about these tools, it will only make you thirst for more knowledge on how these trucks run.

That's a little pricey. I use the one shown and the bottom of the thread. The make a similar one for I Phones now. Has a lot of features the one your looking at doesn't have.

As far as leak down test. You have good compression correct? It can't hurt to do a leak down test. But that's usually a turn to for low compression

    Agreed, the SGII is spendy.
The one below is a very good unit. I spent the $5 for the Torque app. It is a very good scanner for a great price. The only reason I don't use it, it was killing my phone battery using the blue tooth while driving.

The free version is just fine, I just hate adds and I thought the app builder did such a nice job, I sent Ian the $5.
