##Southern Style OffRoad GROUP BUY 2/2017##

Something arrived from @SouthernStyleOffRoad today! I got some work to do, prep/paint/install coming soon. Hopefully weather and time(working 60+ hr weeks right now) will allow me to get this installed within the next week. Pics will come once its installed! Thanks for the GB, its like christmas and way sooner than I expected. Glad I ordered and received my winch last week.

 

Thats great i didnt know they are shipping already.

 

I didnt either. After all the warnings the email went to my spam folder even with them in my contact list. I was the first order which must have helped.

The box was in good shape and I dont see anything noticeably wrong with it. It was packaged very well. Its still wrapped in plastic but I will have it out tomorrow to prep and paint. Just got back from buying the paint for tomorrow!

I went with the Smittybuilt x20-10 Comp w/Synthetic line. Found the best price through their site.

Last I saw mine still said in production. I cant log into the site right now but I assume its updated since I recieved a completed email today with the shipping notification stating it would be delivered today. It was shipped on 3/3. I can only assume I received it so fast because I was the first order in the group buy. It would not surprise me to see it still take a while for all orders to get completed and delivered. They do quote a 4-5 week lead time on the order page. They also said production wouldnt start until the end of the GB so I am still in disbelief I received it already.

 

Is there any chance we can get another group buy going on this? I can't believe I missed out on this!

 

Just updated, mine just went into production!

 

Primer done. Going to try and finish up painting by the end of the weekend and hopefully install it next week if I have time with work. 60+hr work weeks dont leave me a lot of time or energy to get things done on the truck. I've had an OBA setup waiting to be installed for 2-3 weeks now.

Arrived in perfect condition and was packaged well with lots of padding to keep it safe.

 

Mine went to powder today.

Just received my 5% back also! Thanks for the GB @SouthernStyleOffRoad! Just mounted my winch, its a tight squeeze getting the front bolts in. Had to install the front 2 first and then the back 2.

 

Bumper install is being put on hold. Ran into a couple issues, one with my winch(unrelated to the bumper) and the other is with the light bar bracket that I need to resolve it first. Glad I hadnt cut my bumper yet. As for the light bar bracket, it looks to be sitting too close to the opening and wont sit flush. I'll have to widen the bolt slots to let the light bar sit a little further back so it stops catching on the opening and forcing the light to have an upward angle. Hopefully I can pull it off with a drill because I dont have many tools to work with metal.

Edit: I have spoken with SSO and they have provided great customer service and support regarding the minor issue with the light bar that I have ran into.
