Just did first oil change a bit before recommended 16k km. The maintainance light was not on. Is there a way to reset it before it comes on.
I scrolled through the last screen as I read it in another post, however the " maintainance reset" button does not appear.

Yes there is. It's just like the older ones without the screen.
    Open drivers door(don't close)
    Push the ODO button
While holding it turn the key to the on position( don't start)
You should see squares filling in. Once done u should be good.

On 2nd gen you need to have the first trip-meter up for the reset.

I prefer the 16's way of doing it.... it's in the head unit (smart key).... go into maintenance and you can change the dates for tire rotations/oil/tires, etc. etc.... If you want a different OC schedule, this works well.. Add other reminders also..!!

I tried using the trip button to reset but couldn't get it to work.
I just went into the maintainance schedule on the touch screen and typed in the # of kms I want to go until next oil change.
I'll just have to reset the service reminder when it appears.

I believe that when you change the O/C interval in settings, that you will not be bothered by the Toyota reminder..... I know my 10,000 Km reminder did not appear after I changed the O/C interval to the mileage I want...!
