What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

@Cativelense depending on how hard it is, have you considered making the halos switchbacks? Like they're white for DRLs, but once you use the turn signal, the respective one starts flashing amber? My buddy has that on his runner and it looks really cool.

EDIT: Ok nevermind. After some researching, it appears to be a PITA and not something you'd want to tackle alone.

 

I thought about the whole color changing thing, but not really into it to be honest. I wanted retros for two reasons basically.

1) to black out my truck even more
2) for the better light output because of the type of lights/bulbs you can use, compared to led bulbs or oem bulbs

The lights are built already without that, which is what I wanted, so I'm pretty sure I'll be super happy with them once I tackle the install.

 

We have to make those tough sacrifices sometimes. Hopefully it goes to someone who will take care of it properly

I used Plastidip, and gave them 5 good wet coats, with drying time between. They feel very solid, and not at all rubbery or sticky. The key to using Plastidip is warming up the can of paint in a bucket of hot water for 10 minutes before you spray. The extra heat makes the paint atomize MUCH finer, and it coats extremely well. If they do ever peel, I'll just do it again. Super easy mod and 1 million percent better looking than before.

I had a dealer offer 29.5k for my 2015 dcsb sport with 22k miles on it and a manual trans.
