So got the opportunity to get some free window visors from wellvisors today.

They needed a car for test fitment and to shoot somepics/videos for installation purposes so i offered up my car to do that for a free set of visors.

looks good, plastic is thick, held on by clips and 3m tape, fitment is very good and its not too large.

so far no wind noise whatsoever.

i did it during lunch today and its already on their website.

I have this brand on my 4th Gen 4runner. I was wondering is there any difference in the size of the doors of a 2nd Gen vs 3rd Gen double cab. I was thinking to see if these will fit the 2nd gen.

Not bad for stick on, but im still a fan of the in-channel's. But you can't beat free!

Is there any difficulty/distortion looking out through the Wellvisors along the A-pillars just above the rear view mirrors?

Glue on type are the worst for breaking. Take a look around and you will notice how many are broke or missing.

In-Channel is the only way to go, much less chance of breaking.

Depends which ones you have. Some are transparent with dark tints, others can completely block out light. The A-pillar is already a pretty big blind spot. I have dark transparent visors and my wife loves that fact you can circulate air in the car in the rain without having to open the windows all the way. The tint has saved me from being blinded by the sun on many occasions however.

I’m surprised they need clips. I’ve stayed away from in channels as the curved part is in your sight line while it’s above your sight line with the stick one. I do know 2 people whose in channels came out when they rolled their windows down in winter and frozen water somehow stuck them to the window.

I'm not aware of visor that need clips. There is usually an adhesive track along the lip thats sticks to the metal on the inside of the channel. If anyone has issues with them, its either an install error or a poor brand.

I was referring to these new ones listed here requiring clips. In channels don’t need clips from what I’ve seen. The issue is in winter when moisture bonds the window to the In channel models as they actually touch each other. The seal also gets deformed but that doesn’t matter as long as you always run an in channel.

Questions about in channels. I picked up a set a few months ago, install was pretty easy. I did drop the passenger side on one the ground and picked up a bunch of dead leaves, oops. So far its been pretty stable. I do feel there was an increase in wind noise since I got them, so the radio gets turned up louder now. There have been a couple snow storms here in Colorado that I thought would have had that sticky part. I've gone through touchless car washes as well and they are still on. I think they look cool too.

Has anyone had one break, and if so, how?
Is there any maintenance I should know about?
Anyone else notice slight wind noise increase? I think my rear windows are causing it, but idk.

Pic from this morning for fun
