    Install was pretty easy. That being said i dunno if im gonna keep it. The gray trd ball knob leaves a little to be desired in terms of feel. It looks cool but its lightweight and glossed plastic so kind of sticks to your hand. Might look for a heavy all metal alternative

    It's hollow plastic with a metal threaded insert. I might try to fill the ball with lead shot and then silicone or epoxy it in place to add some mass to it.

    I've had a Mishimoto weighted shiftier (363 grams) for about a year now. Very easy to shift with. Somehow it never gets to hot/cold.

    this is from Anarchy Motive. they're making me one now also... been waiting forever, they are not quick! they have heavier solid metal knobs and also with powder coating. you can go up to 733g with their Titan knob.

    you can also find coated metal ones at Flossy shop. Google those names to find 'em.

    Yep, Anarchy Motive. Definitely not the fastest service, but the quality is great. Mine is ~650 grams, shifting is very easy to engage gears now, doesn't feel as notchy though.

    Did you do something else with the boot and shaft as well as changing the knob? I can't get a clear view of it from that angle.

    I folded it back and tied it with a zip tie. This shows more of the shifter shaft.

    Just put a wood one on. Wanted a taller shifter. It's not any heavier but shifts nice due to more leverage.
