CRUX makes an adapter to use an aftermarket deck and a factory camera. It has to reduce the voltage (12V down to 6V). I run an AVIC8200NEX using the factory camera.

Just put the AVH-X5800BHS like you have in my 2007. Nice deck for the price. New Spotify app is excellent. Since the 2007 didn't have a camera in the first place, I got to use an aftermarket one.

I beleive it was this one that intergrated everything.

Just cut the factory connector and hardware it to an RCA video male. I now have RCA connectors spliced into my factory video input so I can add more.

If I understand correctly you spliced into your factory wires to have more inputs to your factory deck? ManBeast put in a Pioneer AVH-X5800bhs. The aftermarket gives out a 12V signal to the camera where as the factory deck puts out a 6V signal. Our factory cameras run on 6V. The only real plug and play with out figuring and wiring up the proper resistors and such was going with the CRUX adapter. I am sure many would love to see how to do multiple inputs on their factory deck.

Right, I've successfully run an aftermarket front facing camera off the OEM deck display through a hard wired RCA conversion. However, my design didn't work out as planned on the initial first test, the front camera only displayed in reverse (requiring reverse camera anytime mod) and if the rear camera was connected to my splitter and activated the signals interfered and the deck display freaked out due to receiving multiple signals. More work still to do.

After 200,000 miles someone should have looked in there and installed a filter.

Very nice. Two things I know for sure: 1) If there is a way, you are going to figure it out. 2.) It will be a hell of a write up.

I am sure a lot of guys on here will love to figure a way to have multiple inputs. I have a front camera, however my head unit has the provisions for multiple inputs and reversing the image built in.

Bummer, the ones in there were incomplete. There is always running an aftermarket camera and selling the factory.

I originally did the aftermarket deck with multiple camera inputs and just was not happy with how the functionality turned out. It was not as perfect as stock. Pulled it and went back to stock and going with running an integrated DSP and amp combo instead.

Curious, what deck did you go with? The stock for me fell short in so many things. I am much happier with an aftermarket unit. My factory was the touchscreen, NAVI, SiriusXM, but not JBL.

Installed the URD upgraded fuel pump with thr remote fuel filter. Now I don't have to worry about any problems with the smaller pulley on the s/c.

I think it was the Kenwood DDX793. Things like not being able to make phone calls from my steering wheel. When I put it in reverse I got a warning across the screen that I should look around the vehicle before backing up, which I had to touch to clear. When going from reverse to drive, I would get a blue screen "loss of input signal" on the display for a second. Trying to channel surf from my steering wheel would go by frequency instead of by preset. Not having the volume knob instead having to tap buttons for volume as the passenger. The 7" display was larger, but also very unnecessarily busy and more confusing. The entire thing just felt much less polished than stock.
