Man the directions suck, detailed but suck!!! Spent probably an hr trying to get it installed ... didn't get the first piece on. Photos in the instructions are zoomed in so much you can't make out anything. The hood bracket didn't come close to being flush and solid. Boxed it back up and will deal with my broken prop.

    Sorry rant off now...

I'm enjoying mine so far. My only issue is figuring the correct pressure to shut the hood without touching the paint. I b just about got it dialed in.

Stupid dog decide he wanted to chew one of the bagged steel brackets. Guess I should've put them on quicker.

I'll be headed over to the website to order another one, figure the chew marks in this one will rust pretty quick.

Yep. Guess I should be happy he didn't chew the gas spring. Would've been more expensive to replace, plus the whole mess of it exploding in his face and what not.

Delivery was super fast, but the instructions did leave something to be desired. Location for hood bracket seemed spot on, but location for lower bracket on the fender was way off. For a 2 015, it says to measure 8.5 inches from bolt. I did a dry fit cause something didnt seem right.

Hood would not close if they were located there. The correct location was almost as far forward (towards the cab) as they could go.

So only about 7 inches different than the instructions :D

Can anyone confirm that the hood strut instructions are correct for a 2014 SR5 Pre DCLB Taco?
