I wouldnt say showing off, but I am proud of that boat. Hell bayliner is a fine boat, Im just saying, they arent the best quality on the market.

Like i said, they are just like FORD.

Im just coming from personal experience, first boat I owned was a bayliner and it was always in the shop.

Well...I guess mines ben more like a Toyota then. Never in the shop. Still on original plugs. From what I have read in the Boating mags, Bayliner is above average in reliability, and scores near the top in build quality. What year was yours?

I have learned to not like people that overcompensate for testicular fortitude by showing off and putting other people down. Further more I believe this thread is titled "Show us your boat", not talk shit about other people's boats. I'm proud of my Bayliner. It may not be the best boat in the world but it gets me and my friends out on the water on a hot day. Also the fact that mine is a '94 that still runs and looks great says a lot about them.

Other than normal maintance, oil changes, tunes up, my 96 has been a great boat. (Four Winns) I have had it for 3 years, and no its not the best, the biggest, of the fastest, nicest, but it floats, starts every time, and has a good radio. What more could you ask for?

that is gonna be a sexy boat.

I gotta side with xSpyderguyx on this one. I've been around boats my whole life and can say i've never seen a whole lot of good come out of bayliners.

The ones made up to the late 80's early 90's, I agree. Since they were taken over, their quality has obviously improved.

Two things people say that really piss me off:

"Bayliners are crap." From what I understand, they have always been good boats. The misconseption comes from the Force motors which were not the best when they were made by Chrysler. The newer Mercury Force Motors are supposed to be a lot better.

"The best two days in a boat owner's life, the day you buy it and the day you sell it." Jealous people that don't have boats say this!

The problem is. Im sorry, Bayliners are crap. Once you have owned a highquality boat, like a Grady White, a Striper, Riviera, a Ocean Alexander, the list goes on. Trust me, you will not like going back to your bayliner.

TRUST ME. I owned a Bayliner (first boat) Thought it was the best boat out there. Sold it, bought a 26' Striper and it was 200 times better than it. Thicker hull, smoother plane, nice lines, and very fast(less horsepower, and bigger boat)

Point is, a boat is a boat. But a nice boat, isnt just a boat.

Well I'm sorry, sign me up for just having a plain ol' boat because apparently having a nice boat makes you a dick.
