all you guys not wanting speed I have one question, if TRD made a supercharger still for these new 3.5L would it be on your truck.. it would, damn guess you do care somewhat about speed and power.

I don't defend my truck for being slow, i know it's slow, but I don't try to justify it for being a truck.
You don't have to justify your purchase to anyone, so just let the people who like it hype it up and those who don't complain.

Also lots of people care about speed, I didn't tune my cummins to be slow, rolling all 4 tires over on a boosted launch is the tits. I don't do it much because parts if they break are expensive, but it's a cool thing to show the mustang and camaro boys.

Hopefully they weren't too hard on that 3rd gen engine. You know, with it being prone to oil leaks and stuff.

Simple answer, No. I got a diesel for towing, not to be fast. Got my Tacoma for trails/dd, not to be fast. Wanted something fast, so I got a mountain cat.

Exactly. And didn't that guy say he would choose the older frontier over a new 3rd gen Tacoma in another video?

I highly doubt that, the 3rd Gen makes less Torque at a higher RPM and is heavier, on a loose surface it would take way too long to gain enough traction and get far enough up into the Revs. If you go to roughly 4:12 of this video you can see it on pavement, given enough room then yes the 3rd will eventually pass it.

Yes, when they raced the Frontier in the previous video they said that is how they run the Tacoma.

I don't know or really care, bc I didn't watch the whole thing.:)
Think about what you said. It's a setup, they already didn't like it to begin with.. Which leads back to my comment.

They have another where they test the Pro and seem to enjoy it, you said you didn't even watch it and yet somehow think it is a set up, what would they have to gain by doing that, makes no sense.

Taco would have done better if it was not windy. The windows were howling, the frame was whistling, that slowed it down.

And if they take Payoffs and shit on something then no Manufacturers are going to give them Free Trucks to bash around on.

My 3.4 powered 4Runner can barely break 80...

This truck is like a race car to me.

The price most of us paid for these trucks could have gotten a full size. So there's obviously a way we were all justifying our purchases at the time.

For me it's the maneuverability, manual transmission, and ability to fit on tight trails when hunting. Power won't help me fit through a tight gap or have a small turning radius...
