..Now I just need to get rid of that inferno trim that certainly don't match this silver truck.

Must be a huge PITA trying to get that thing through the streets of K-town! You at Ramstein? Vogelweh?

I'm at Landstuhl, but live just outside of Ramstein. No way I am taking her through the streets of town. Only village she cuts through is mine. We use our little Subaru Crosstrek if we have to get in and out of anywhere. I couldn't imagine trying to park this thing in Kaiserslautern

I was at Vogelweh for 2 years and my buddy had a Tundra. Parking anywhere downtown was next to impossible.

Yeah I wouldn't want to do it with a tundra.. not one bit. Even parking on base here can be rough

Finally got around to dipping the grill. It's curing in the living room overnight. 5 coats of matte black and 2 of glossifier. I also dipped over all of the ugly inferno trim with a nice silver coat.. I will post some pics tomorrow of them back on the truck.

Final coats are going on the sliders as well.. as soon as the hardware gets here I will be mounting those up. Everything is going great. I think I am going to pull the wheels off and dip them black next.. I am liking that look over all.

Dipped grill is now on. I love the look. I also dipped the inferno trim on the inside to make it match the truck.

It certainly flows better with the rest of the truck.

Dipped the rims (well two so far), and I really think they should have just shipped these in black.

Added the Sliders from @CBI Offroad Fab These guys really went out of the way to get them to me out in Germany and I couldn't be happier. Even after the hardware somehow got stripped off of the original delivery, they sent me another set rush order at no cost.

Here they are after I painted, right before install:

Through in a hitch (regular ball hitch is in the storage area), as well as some bubba rope today. With all the idiots off the side of the road.. it could certainly be of some use..

Used a locking pin this time on the hitch. Last time I lose the hitch off of our subaru... damn neighbor kids.

Installed the BlackVue 650 2 Channel both front and back. I have the power pack to run the parking mode.. but waiting on some electrical parts to show up in the mail before that can be done. So, for now, it's simply on and off with the ignition.

Install was very easy, the included cables were enough to run everything all the way to the rear of the vehicle and keep things well hidden.

The platsidip didn't seem to hold up very well for the wheels.. I am debating on new wheels... or a can of spray paint... My problem with new wheels, is that I don't want to go all out until I am ready to do my lift. I can't do my new lift until spring of 2019 when I am out of this place that has restrictions on shipping a lifted vehicle. Things to think about..

On a better note, both Prinsu Racks and a KB Voodoo bed rack are enroute. Excited to get these mounted so that I can pick out a roof top tent.

Got the KB Voodoo rack in yesterday. Installed it this morning:

Very Very well packed and protected. This is always an issue for me being overseas in Germany. Half the time anything that weighs more than 10 pounds is half destroyed by the time it gets here. It was nice to see something that was so heavily protected that there was not a single scratch on the product istself.

Of course I had to add the obligatory scenery shot with the yard in the background.

Now I just have to figure out the right combination for mounting a hi-lift, axe, shovel, and a couple of rotopacks

Thanks.. I am slowly preparing for a 3 week long overland trip through Northern Europe. As the idiot rookie, I will be following behind a group of guys that were doing this since before I was born. I figure this is a good way to get some experience without stranding myself somewhere stupid.
