I was thinking bout those myself. Then I was gonna modify them to sliders. Let me know how you like the construction of the step itself?

Washed it when it was a little cold outside, but that's life up here when trying to keep the rust down.

And got my new reverse/anytime rear LED flood lights in. Now to find time to install.

Finished the install today! didn't end up getting my hands on any plastic pop rivets. auto parts stores don't carry them and Fastenal isn't open on weekends and by the time I finish work they are closed haha so I ended up just painting aluminum rivets black and I'm really pleased with the outcome.

    IMG_20170311_151247_328.jpg

EDIT: for those looking to do this:
    - I drilled out the original rivets with a 13/64'' drill bit.
    - Top 2 holes I used 3/16'' Diameter by 13/16'' grip range aluminum rivets with a 10-24 washer on the inside.
-The bottom hole I used 13/16'' diameter by 1/2'' grip range aluminum with washers inside and out.
All painted black, these lengths worked out well to show as little as possible ''poke thru'' behind the mesh.

right on man! ill be doing the same, pretty stoked haha I think it looks pretty bad ass too! mine came with all the wiring harness and relay. The only thing I'm replacing is the crapy little push switch it came with. I will be replacing it with this.

Ill need to build my whole set up, Want to install an aux fuse block and maybe a aux battery too. Just need to do more research. Trying to build mine up for some minor over landing. But being Canadian the stuff is so expensive for us, so it's slow and steady build. Just about to roll 160000kms so its definitely been slow! Nice switch thought, might have to get one for myself!

I'd put the cheapest oil i could find in it until it's fixed, if it were me. Royal Purple is way too expensive to you run out your tailpipe.
