Only born with the one I have, but I'll try yours any day!

My CB was a different breed than most go for these days.

I really like the Midland 75 because it can be either mobile or vehicle mounted.

Did a quick search. Because HAM radios have a much higher power output, the HAM/CB combo radios aren't legal here due to the restriction on CB. They do exists, but cant just buy one at Wal-Mart.

Apparently, there is a HAM radio we can buy here that can operate in the 6m, 10m, 11m, and 12m bands, but the 11m band (for CBs) is disabled (but you can illegally enable it). I'll try to find the link.

I'm thinking a firestick too. But I'm waiting til LBL meet to check other guys' setups.
The mount you mention is also something I'm getting in the trade for that Savage 64 rifle. Will need a 'real' antenna and longer cable to use it. Also a spring too.

My princess has been dropped off at the dealership. They were leaning toward alternator but weren't at all sure. Guess I'll know when they give me a call... Was a bitch to get on and off the ramp truck because there wasn't even enough juice to get her into neutral.

    IMG_3890.jpg

In the meantime, I got to follow my truck all the way there and gained some unique perspective. I need a new bumper and headlights and on and on....

I'm hopefully taking the test for HAM next month. I was supposed to last month but it was cancelled. Don't have a setup yet, I'm still trying to figure that all out.
