Yeah, there's no point in me doing anything if I'm not going to like it.

Sometimes that means spending more money.

That only means I have to work harder.

    No problem there.

Never mind, forget what I said. Did more reading. It gets more complicated regarding the different channels, frequencies, type of antennas for each radio, tuning for the different bands, restricted channels, etc.:blahblah:

In short, use either HAM or GMRS, and keep a handheld CB just in case, because everyone's moving away from CB.

Ya, I'm always the DD for everyone, and I'm always making sure no one gets hangovers the next day, so I've got a few tricks up my sleeve

I like my $50 radio/antenna. It works like a stock, un-tuned CB should.

I 100% agree with this statement. I'd much rather spend a little more money up front to get what I really want and what's going to work best.

We're gonna need to find an unsuspecting person to be our DD. Because we actually need to get shitfaced together. You can't be my DD. That's just not right.

Or kill her elctrical system again :bananadead:

That's the exact one I was looking at! Bearcat also sells a wireless mic/speaker so you talk outside of the vehicle (also, i just hate cords in general). I just couldn't justify spending that much. I swear, @dirty deeds is the little voice in my head:

So she had electrical issues. Never did catch what @JayMac was having trouble with til she mentioned battery today. I hate electrical issues with vehicles, even though I'm good at diagnosing them!

I'm just ballin on a budget man! No need to spend more than necessary on particular 'wants' when it can be better spent on 'needs'. I make good money for IT where I live, but chump change compared to where some of you live. And I smoke, it costs money.
