It can, yes. It's got some goofball shit out of the box, so I put Auto on there. I like it a lot better.

Pioneer AVIC-8200NEX. Factory camera, SiriusXM antenna, NAVI antenna, and microphone have been integrated into this aftermarket deck. Only half of the steering wheel controls, but the important ones.

Cannot say I have heard of them, but I am checking out there stuff. Android can be a great car audio head unit OS if done correctly.

Yeah - they're close... If you're picky about the UI like me, it's got root so you can mod your heart out. Fairly cheap too ($250).

That is such a familiar sight. Have fun. Take your time. Lots of tweaking to do, but once you get it right, they are fantastic!

The right side "Answer" "Hang Up" phone and the "Voice Command" activation button. Basically the right side of the steering wheel.

My iPhone is set to "Hey Siri" for that or I can just hit the big "Answer and "Hang Up" on the screen of the head unit.

The SiriusXM radio on this has the 2 hour cached music for your presets, which I totally love. The NAVI that has the speed posted, over warming (which can be adjusted up to 40% over in the city and away from the city) the altimeter, trip computer (which is severely lacking in any Tacoma).

So many cool features. If ended up getting and AVIC, let me know, there are several really hidden tricks to get the Bluetooth and phone dialer to stay on while moving also allowing to adjust any Bluetooth setting while in motion.

The coolest thing about the 8200 is the face. It's not a plastic Captive Touch screens you see on almost every radio out there, it's a Capacitive Touch Glass screen which is found on iPhone, iPad, and most Android devices. It smooth, responsive and the easiest to control which is nice when you are driving.

It was around 240 on Amazon. I ordered one I. December but at the beginning of March they said it was no longer in stock (fuck those guys).
So I tried a different one and it came next day.. Just try to pick the right one if you go Amazon.
Installation sucked because the brackets were all bent up and had to get them right with a hammer

How is the 5800 in your 07'? The nav equipped one is too rich for me.

Holy crumbs don't toss those. They're crazy expensive to buy at the dealer. I put the OEM rack on mine and sold the strips to another TW member.

The AVH-X5800bhs has a large percentage of the what is in the AVIC-8200NEX, minus the NAVI, Apple Car Play/Android Auto. However, if you have an iPhone, you can use most of the features in the Bluetooth section call Siri Eyes. Total voice command. Works great. Sound quality is similar, however, the '07 Tacoma has JBL GTO speakers that run off the deck using the factory wires and a single layer of butyl sound deadender, the '15 Tacoma (way different story) runs Focal Utopias, JL subs, and Audison Thesis HV Venti Amps with no interconnects under 8ga. Plus my '15 is fully sound insulated with 4 layers (Buytl deadener, Second Skin closed cell foam, Audimute, and 3/4 thick automotive grade denim insulation. It was a miracle we got the headliner to fit back into the roof. You can say I am a bit of an audiophile.

The one thing the 5800 has over the 8200 is the new Spotify app is far superior. So superior, if Pioneer comes out this year with the, let's say an 8300 with the new Spotify app, I will dump my 8200 in a heartbeat to get the updated version with the new app. I like it that much.

    I know.

Before I could buy one my truck got totaled.

Now I have a 4Runner, and I wanted something similar (we talked about it briefly) but there is just no place for it to go.

Ended up with a Scosche mag mount on the top of the radio surround. Wish the Runner had a spot like that, I love that mount.

Ah, I understand. Sorry about your truck getting totalled. Funny, if it weren't for my travel trailer, I would likely own a 4Runner again. I have had a 1st - 4th gen. Problem was the 5th gen only has 5000lb towing. My trailer fully loaded is 4450lbs, too close to the limit. We have a 2013 Highlander with 5000lbs capacity. I towed the trailer once with that car. Once!

Why didn't you pick up another Tacoma?

    Too small.

Total loss was a pain in the ass but a blessing in disguise.

I hear ya! The back seats are small. I have two kids. They much prefer riding in the Highlander on longer trips.
