From my research, the remanufactured alternators were more like $200 with the core charge. This one is factory, so I just went with it.

We threw in the serpentine belt, not because there's something wrong with mine, but because it's 10 years old and I'd rather get it changed out while they were literally working right there anyway.

Nothing really since I got her. I don't know what all was done prior to me, but she was pretty well taken care of. I figure I should look at other things soon, like the starter and other random things that can fail. Unfortunately, I don't know enough personally what may or may not be worn out to have a list yet. Working on it.

Noted. I also want to learn how to really clean and detail under the hood, and then keep it up. It is... not the cleanest currently.

Ask Chad lol. Swear he does under the hood once a week.

Because everyone looks under the hood regularly...

When the rest is clean and then you open the hood and it isn't, it's like finding a wart on balls.

Nobody else knows, but you never forget.

My gas door was always filthy. Drove me nuts every time I got gas. Never bothered to clean it though because I'm a failure.

I quietly take note of these things and then when I've got all my research together...

    BAM

I practically know what I'm doing.
