Man I really appreciate the advice! I did all of that but it is just refusing for me. It's looking like I'm just going to have to cut it, bummer. I was hoping to just take the pin out since I have basically no slack in the white/green wire so reconnecting would be bitch if I needed to haha.

Alright so I cut the white wire with green stripe and I have lost my high beam function. Any info on this?

Edit: Problem solved. The wiring harness was not fully plugged in on one side.
Full function of high beams once again

    ...we'll get there.
If you left a little room to strip the wires you should be able to use a butt connector to put them back together.

Or just splice in new longer wire with a new pin

Anyone relocated the drls and added a switch? I like the idea of controlling the drls and I’d also like to make them separate from the headlights. Anyone done this or seen/heard of anyone doing it?

I found a thread somewhere else about a switch. So that is answered. Just curious about relocating the drl to a different/aftermarket light. Separate from the headlight.

Hey guys, so I’m having a lot of issues here and I’m hoping someone can help out. I cut the white wire with green stripe, and nothing. DRLS still work. I then proceeded to cut both the white and black ground wire, as well as the green with white, and still nothing. I can’t seem to figure out how to disable my DRLS. Also, pulling the DRL fuse does nothing but kill all my lights. If anyone can help out, it would be greatly appreciated!

Mmmm that’s so weird. I deleted my DRL’s last night by disconnecting the white/Green stripe wire. I’m so happy. Honestly, I did not like them on all the time like most in this thread. I just bought my 02 Tacoma 4-door limited, googled it and voila I found this thread.
Thank you all for providing instructions and pictures how to do it.

I can't get the connector to release. I am pushing in a very small flat head screwdriver. Maybe I'm putting in the wrong spot? I wanted to get the connector out and not snip the wire at first just in case there were any unwanted side effects.

I mean I can't get the terminal to release from the white plastic connector shell.

@ToyoTaco-02 what tool did you use to release the terminal? And can you show exactly where you placed the tool? I saw a YouTube video kind of showing how they did it but it was after the fact and the terminal might have been a little different than yours, not sure. I also have a DC limited but 1 year older. Don't know if there were any changes to that connector but doubt it. I'm tempted to just cut the wire I just didn't want to have to spend any time outside repairing if something didn't go right 'cause it's freezing!
