Did not want the problems that in my experience come with the sun/moon roofs.

Many options aren't worth a dime until you have them for a while.

Heated mirrors are stupid - until you experience freezing rain or your mirrors are fogged up.
What pansy needs heated seats? - Wouldn't own anything without them now and makes me forget the heat hasn't come on yet.
Backup camera - wanted it for hooking up trailers but use it non stop every time I park.

Nav was something I had to have. I have been using my iPad as a my gps monitor for years and didn't want to drill into my new truck to mount it. I really liked my iPad for gps and I could change my software by simply selecting a new app. But not having a bulky mount works and if nessecary I could go to my old setup. Add Bluetooth and I can use my iPad for music but I actually use a small USB stick for my whole iTunes collection.

If there was ONE feature I would have liked it would have been power rear window. Come spring I will see how often this will actually get used and if power or non power really matters. Depends on if I want airflow or just hit AC button.

I came from a barbarically NO OPTIONED diesel truck. Crank handle windows and manual locks. So I was convinced I didn't need bugger all expensive options. But when I added some options (Canada has many options built into standardized packages. We can't cherry pick one or two options like stateside.) that were mandatory for me some came with it. I would have skipped the mirrors but I do appreciate them and it would be a tough call unless I had to pay individually for that one option. Sat radio is not on my radar but when my free 3 mos was up my wife paid the discounted offer for my birthday. I like basically one station but driving 4 hours to the big city and getting to listen to the hockey game was a bonus. If it was $4.99 a month every month they might sell me on it more so when this discount is over I am out. Heck I don't even have data on my iPhone.

So some of the convenience options are hard to "value" and determine if they are nessecary. If you have never had any like me it is worse because all you see are dollar signs.

The only thing I knew I wanted was the heated seats and I added them myself. I didn't want the auto climate control because it defaults to blowing air at your feet and here in the damp Northeast, we always need to run the defrost when starting out. The backup alert sounded interesting but around here, your vehicle is usually covered in snow/salt/ice/mud/dust/bugs and I doubt anything that relies on sensors would be very reliable. As it is, I have to clean off the backup camera every time I come home in the winter if I want to be able to use it when I leave again.

Rear window defrost to go with heated mirrors would be nice. Use mine on my current truck most frosty mornings if the truck doesn't get put in the garage.

I like most of the stuff that comes with the Tech and Premium package but could do without the moonroof.

Have had a couple with zero issues but my luck will run out one day.

Yup, had that exact thought about how silly heated mirrors are until the last storm. Everything was covered in ice and chipping it all off the mirrors takes some force and knocks them out of whack. But two minutes after starting the engine they were clear. Seems like a frivolous idea until you realize that it works.

I used to say the same about steering wheel controls, I mean how hard is it to reach over and change stereo settings or reach up to roll through instrument cluster display??? Now it is a requirement as is outside temp display.

Do I like the blind spot monitoring? With all the highway driving I do, I really like it.
The rear Sensors? Love having them in busy parking lots.
Heated Seats? Awesome especially here in New Hampshire.
Dual Zone? Take it or leave it.
Color match rear bumper. Love it and I would not want chrome bumpers
I have an access cab off road so no moon roof and I got the option for under invoice around $1300.
So overall well worth it. I would have regretted not adding it.

Is that the package with the sub woofer that eats up all your extra behind the seat space?

Yes, it's well worth it. The dual climate control gets used every time my girlfriend and I are in the truck. Heated seats are essential in this climate in the winter and still very useful on cool Spring and Fall nights. The sunroof is great, I'm 6'2" and fit comfortably. I don't exclusively depend on it but the rear cross traffic alert really works and if it saves you from one fender bender, it's already paid for itself. I find the blind spot monitoring helpful but not reliable enough to ever avoid a shoulder check. Go for it, you won't regret it!

Didn't read the whole thread - but I'd say yes!

To be honest, all I wanted out of the tech package was the sunroof, really. The BSM rocks (saved a bicyclist with no lights one night so far), the keyless entry is fantastic, I highly recommend it.

Oh, looking at the response above they mention the heated seats. There are 3 settings; hot, REALLY hot, and bake a ham. I'm a little older and often have a little lower back pain, the heated seats are AMAZING for that!

I remember someone saying they used the dual climate control to keep their beer cold on the passenger side while they stayed warm. And someone else used the passenger side heated seat to keep the take out food warm on the drive home.

If you keep one side hot and one side cold, won't there be a thunderstorm over the console?
