When it gets subzero and real windy Bear will ask to go out, get to the door, stick his nose out, then back up give me the "I can wait look." Sometimes he'll wait a few hours until he REALLY has to go. Can't say as I blame him though.

The dog is thinking: "You really have to make me put my bare ass on this damp cold rock just to take my picture?" :D

I also sense the dog is thinking: "Ok wise guy, now it's my turn. You come over here and drop your drawers and sit on this thing freezing your gonads off while I take your picture!"

Good morning and hope it was a good night even if it was a short one.

    "
All those years sweating my ass off in 100* plus weather used to dream about getting back to someplace cold with snow and pissing my name in the snow. Not so much anymore...

Can I yell with you?!?! Looks like it will stay below freezing for next 4 days though so hopefully no need for salt. I can dream anyhow and down to 150 pounds of salt. Hope I don't have to break open another bag until next year, haha. Changed the forecast here now starting in about 4 hours and 6"-9" Most of it today and tonight. Which means I can dig the vehicles out for work in the morning instead of trying pull into foot high drifts that is my driveway Monday after work.

Having Canadian dogs breed for hunting in Nova Scotia seems like they can't get enough snow and cold. They will lay in the last little bit of snow in the yard come May. Have to drag them inside sometimes when I just can't take the cold anymore. Of course their hair and undercoat is so thick the cold doesn't get through to them. Then they blow their coats at random and have to clean the house once a day even though I brush them every day. Or more like I should do both once a day, doesn't always work that way. I've learned to live with dog hair and crazy dogs.

....it's not you....no, it really is you

Hey, I was reading about a place up there that's a small community (of like 200) that's building a slaughter/packing plant for reindeer to sell to the lower 48. What's your opinion of reindeer meat?
