    Hi all,

New to the forum and Tacoma's. I saw an Inferno Tacoma last summer and immediately said to myself "I want that"! So when my last ride bit the dust I went ahead and picked up a new 2017 SR5. I'm pretty excited to have it, it's the first new vehicle I've had in 20 years!

Run away while you still have a chance. Your wallet will thank you later. LOL. Seriously though, congrats.

    Nice truck!

If you don't mind, can you measure the rear end of your truck from center of wheel hub to the fender? I am looking for stock measurements on the SR5. I want to say it's 21.1" or something like that.

Could you take a measurement from the bed to the top of the cab. I am looking for a cap to put on that I want to use for sleeping in. I am looking at Hi Tops. I need the vertical measurement from bed to top of cab, thanks

Thank everyone for all the kind words and welcomes. I'm wondering if the measurements requests are a hazing? But in case they aren't and in the spirit of camaraderie here's what I came up with,
    • Leo4x2, hub to fender is about 21 1/2"
    • Jgheck, Top of bed to top of cab is about 19 1/2"
So far the new truck is performing well. Though a couple of the threads in the drivers seat are already pulling out, normal for these seats?

Just to make sure is that the dimension from the top of bed rail to the top of the cab I believe the dimension from the bed to the top of rail is 19.5 inches as well. That would give a height of 39 inches from the bed to the top of cab.
