    side note:

We were talking about Trail Edition wheels the other day.... Well the more I look at them, the more I like them.... and I found a member on here who has them on his, and he was able to send me a couple pictures of his truck / set up....

thoughts on buying some Trail edition wheels, painting / powdercoating them black, and then putting them and some 285s on?

Just a quick update. Wasn't sure if this has been posted before, but it just happened to me on Friday. Driving down Braddock Rd heading west through Fairfax at 4 pm (by that police training center) and was pulled over by a State Trooper. He cited me for having an uncovered light bar (on roof), and non DOT lights on bumper (LED 6 inch). Fortunately, he only wrote down the light bar so it's about $30 with a $67 processing fee. He did a U turn to catch up to me, so he was looking for anyone with a light bar. Obviously I didn't have any of the lights on in the daytime....can't say I wouldn't turn them on at night though...lol. Told me to just cover up the bar and I would be good to go. He said I could go to court and show a picture that the lights are covered, but it would only save me $30.....lol....no thanks. My time is more valuable than that!

Anyone know a reliable alignment shop in NOVA? I've been hard pressed to find one that really knows what they're doing for lifted trucks.

Hightech over in Chantilly has a good alignment set up from what I hear and they do it pretty fast. They are a little pricey, but Im sure they are worth it.

Thanks for the heads up, I remember back in college I had my old taco and I was warned about my roof fogs to be covered because of this old crazy cop. Sad to hear that with the light bar they are still on the hunt for them. I will make sure to buy a lens cover soon.

I would also think that if you proved in court that you corrected the problem that they would drop the charge. If they drop the charge, I think the court fees go away too as there is nothing to process right? I always fought these because Im EL CHEAPO!

They actually make long skinny covers for the light bars? Haven't seen ANYONE running those before. I have some square covers for my Duallys that I throw on there right before taking it in for the yearly inspection.

I have some Baja designs ones which I checked before I bought them if they make covers for them in the event I felt I had to buy a cover. I would think there are some options out there though.

    going to be fun!
The injustice is that there is a $67 processing fee....

Last yr in Fl I received a photo ticket for not coming to a complete stop on a right turn. Ticket was $190 break down was as follows City of Lakeland $54/Polk County $48/Company that operates/maintains the cameras $88......
