Best bolt on rock slider

I'll throw in my +1 for RCI. I like to support local though.


Oh, and RCI has a 45 degree cut off on the ends vs the 90 degree on most other sliders (to avoid hangups).

 

I don't care for them but that's just me, and based on looks.

 

I got them because I constantly have my dogs in my truck. I read a story about a guy who didn't have the fill plates, his dog jumped out, got it's leg stuck in the slider, and broke it. I'd prefer to avoid a situation like that, especially because my daughter will be getting in and out of the truck on her own pretty soon.

 

I vote c4 I needed a good step and protection

 

This thread reminds me, I need to add some more / better hardware to my SOS bolt ons, to save me a trip under the truck with the calipers, what size hardware do most installs use?

Love my Allpro's

 

I have the All-Pro's on my truck. I like the quality of them. The only thing that irritates me is the passenger rear side of the cab and the slider have a tendency to hit when going over railroad tracks, etc. I know Some people will cut a section out of the pinch weld but that isn't something I care to do. I've called Energy Suspension and they don't offer urethane bushing for the cab mount. I may remove them for now until I can find an alternative solution.

 

Yupp can't wait till I get my @BAMF sliders.... so ready to not worry about bashing my rockers on every wheeling trip

 

Is it better to have the sliders angled a little in towards your truck a bit?

 

Keeps you from a potential high center.

I'm concerned about my dog and been thinking about adding filler plates for that exact reason.

 

That was my concern also, I did ALOT of research and ended up with the C4 Fab sliders because my dog already got caught in my wife's sliders on her jeep and sprained his foot.
the C4 has the filler and a level stepping surface.. and install was pretty simple outside of the weight..(heavy)


the only FabFours product I have used is the cardboard

Send me some customers that want your sliders installed and Ill be able to review what I think. So far, your 3rd gen bolt on sliders are all I've dealt with of yours, and I have to say that they are very well engineered. If your other models are anything like the 3rd gen version, I'm sure they will be of the same quality.
