Okay so I was messing with my fenders and the lining above my wheel when I look down and see this bolt with the number 8 on it? I have been looking for 25 minutes under my truck to see where it goes and CANT find it? Anyone know where this goes? Don't want to go anywhere just in case it's for something important? Please help haha

After a quick look, all mine are 11, 9C, ••, -, or blank. Couldn't find an 8. I don't have 4wd, so maybe something from the front diff?

I checked mine. Only could find an 11 for the lower shock bolt, an E holding the lower headlight mount, everything else is blank or dots. I don't have the factory bumper anymore, so could be something for that.

If it is indeed a blinker fluid filler bolt then give these guys, KaleCoAuto, a call. They sell the finest kind, synthetic, blinker fluid and may be able to help...

So that is a flange bolt which is common on vehicles, but may not have come from your truck at all. Check one thing before fretting too much. What is the thread size? M6 and M10 are common for the Tacoma. There are very few M8 to be found. If English it is of course not from your truck.

So sounds like you didn't actually take that bolt OUT, so how, then, do you know it is even FROM your truck?

If your truck is running and no problems, then who cares that you found a bolt, does not even mean it goes on your truck, keep it and move on.

See that's the thing there's a chance it might not be but I didn't see any bolts and I only park there in my driveway but I thought I would be extra cautious and take a check here and look up online make sure I was taking off without something important:)

Just one thing I need to make absolutely clear, which is that contrary to the suggestion of @lynlan1819 , you definitely SHOULD care if you are missing an important bolt. For example, if you are missing bolts from your BRAKES, then bad things can happen.

But one thing I would suggest is that it is highly unlikely for a bolt to just "drop out" of your truck on your driveway. It is much more likely that if you were throwing bolts, it would happen WHILE driving.

Now not to completely freak you out, but that does look like a metric bolt consistent with other bolts on Tacoma. And here is the thing... I have a sneaking suspicion that the "8" printed on the head might be a non-standard strength grade marking, which actually WOULD point towards something like brakes or hub.

But of course, it is probably more likely that you will be dropping bolts on your driveway that you actually PICKED UP from the highway, than bolts that are coming from your truck. OR, that somebody ELSE dropped there before you parked.
