How do you make stock bumpstops softer?

Im just curious is their a way to make the stock rear bump stops a little softer? Because im getting new evs foam bump stops in about a week, but i just want to soften up the stock ones for now since im going to the desert this friday. I was thinking maybe drill some holes in the sides or something.

 

Holes are not going to do anything. Just take them off. lol. And try to not bottom out.

 

I was gunna suggest looking at what Timbern has to offer, but since you already have new bump stops coming I can't really think of much to help you. Maybe shave them down a little and "swiss cheeseing" them could help also. Don't really have to worry about long term effects since you're replacing them soon.

 

I really didn't like the Timberns they seamed to have to much rebound in whoops, one of my friend at icon recommended the evs foam bump stops since. but yea i thought just taking a 1/2 drill bit to them might help.

 

drill some holes down the top of them and then a few holes from the side

 

Haha in the desert i bottom out a lot. dam friends with built trucks i always want to keep up with them.

 

I know. I was out with Mikesdoublecab the other day and I was bottoming out soo much in the rear trying to keep up!

Hopefully Icon will release a piggyback resi shock with a built in bump zone soon. I know our buddy at Icon is looking into it. That would be sweet!
