i got a 3 inch suspension lift and I wanna fit 285/75/17 not sure how the whole wheel sizing works I'm new to this. Help please? What size wheel should I go with?

That's basically a 34" tire. At that width, expect to cut parts off of your truck - not just plastic.

What if I went with 285/70r17? With 17 inch rims with 4.5 back space and -12mm off set

 

I don't mind doing small plastic trimming. I have already removed mud flap. I'm just worried about uca and cbc

 

You'll need a cab chop, no getting around that.

You need to do more reading, then ask questions for clarifying things.

Uca will be fine with spacers or backspacing

 

With any 285 width tire, you should do a cab mount chop. If you don't really flex or wheel your truck you might "get away with it". Lift makes no difference. When you flex the suspension it will compress to the same point as a stock suspension setup. Add the extra width of a 285 - especially a 34" tire - and turn the steering wheel. Shit's gonna rub. That's why I chose to go with a 255 width tire that's 33.5" in diameter. Do yourself a favor and get some good UCAs that will adjust your caster to match your lift.
