I wonder if the honeycomb will appear to look dirty rather quickly since it's individual pockets now that will hold dirt and water rather than flow off.

I know there have been plenty of posts on this but I was hoping someone could send me the link to order the protective film for behind the handle to prevent scratching. Didn't think I would want to get this but I think I should.

Got the 10k service today and asked the guy to check on a few other things. First I told him that the hood vibrates above 50 because of the epoxy not holding up and he said that was normal for it to vibrate. I was like um no and showed him the epoxy and how it was no longer attached and he was like I'll look into it. Then I told him the sun roof is leaking ans he said that is also normal and there is drains inside for the water. Is this correct ? Idk how all the dealers could be different. Should be a Toyota wide knowledge there.

To clarify your sunroof leaks water into the cab and the tech told you this is normal?
BTW I had my hood fixed by the dealer for the same issue.

Put the truck to work this weekend. Bought some lumber and additional tools to build a large dog house for these two pups. Unfortunately the nice weather that we were supposed to get down in the Springs didn't last, so I didn't get to finish it.

I went throug the car wash and opened the shade. Shined a light and saw some drops through the seals. It's not dripping on the seats or into the cab but its dripping into the vehicle through the black seals. He said it was normal and it drains out. Dealer said if the sealed it all the way I wouldn't be able to open up the sunroof

That looks like its out near Banning Lewis Ranch. Off Marksheffel somewhere? When I was stationed at Carson I lived in BLR. Man I miss the Springs!

While processing and hauling firewood on Saturday I had to winch up a few times. Not just to get myself out of some nasty, soupy mud, but also a buddy who's transfer case exploded (a Dodge). Hauling a trailer full of maple didn't help, but the Warn ZEON did it's job flawlessly. Spent ALL DAY on Sunday cleaning her inside and out. What a weekend!

Sorry, new to 4x4. Any reason why you did winch and not the maxtrax? Did you just use winch assist the whole way up, so you would have to constantly get out and use the maxxtrax again?

*If those are traxs on the roof.

To be honest it doesn't sound right to me. Mine has never leaked a drop. If there is a drain channel I'd be very curious where exactly the water drains too? I'd hope not into a dead space... I'd take it to another dealer and ask for a second opinion or make a phone call to corporate and ask what they think. It might make difference between the paint on your roof bubbling up shortly after 3 years or 36k.

probably just quicker to use the winch and get up the whole hill in one attempt, as opposed to 5 or 10 moves to reposition the trax everytime you moved over top of them.

    $215/wheel + 8.75% sales tax. So, $935.25.

Definitely recommend. While painting or using plastidip the OR grills is okay. I rather have the natural OEM look for the grills.
