    Has anyone here ever heard about Rough Country Lifts? If so whats your opinion of their products? www.roughcountry.com

    I've got a 3" RC kit on my 98. It consists of blocks that go under the leaf springs and a spring compressing spacer for the front coils.....It will "roughen" the ride though.

    what year is your truck? I hate when people ask about their trucks and dont have any info on it:rolleyes:

    Edit: I just looked at the site and see its only for 1st gens. Ive seen these kits in person and they seem pretty cheaply made. I had a spacer lift at first and it was one solid piece of billet. these are a weird machined piece of metal.

    Sorry I left out some info. My truck is a 2009 double cab 4x4. As of now im not planning to do any off roading. I live in North Carolina and we have several dirt roads that ill be driving on. Im just looking for something that will give me a 3 inch lift to improve the look of my truck for the best price and is a quality product. I dont and wont buy anything cheap. I hate cheap products. Im new to this whole truck thing so my knowledge on lifts, suspension and 4wd is very limited. I was told about rough county from a friend and was just following up on it.

    Would I be best to go with one of these?

    I have the exact same truck. And yes, it would be better to go with bolt on coilovers. The rides a lot better and they just bolt on so, they're plug and play. Whereas you need a spring compresser to put the spacer in for the rough country. I have a rough country 3" lift for my truck and wish i would've gone with the toytec lift instead.
